Welcome

Trinity Presbyterian Church welcomes you!

Trinity Presbyterian Church, a congregation of the Orthodox Presbyterian Church is committed to the Bible, the Word of God. It holds to historic Presbyterianism, the system of belief sometimes called the Reformed faith. Our primary focus is on our Lord and Creator, and our primary purpose as humans is to “glorify God and enjoy him forever.” At Trinity you will find great fellowship and a loving, caring community of believers, but those are secondary to our primary purpose: to glorify and worship God as he himself has directed us in his Word. At Trinity Presbyterian Church, we’re serious about our Christianity. Instead of being man-focused, we strive to be God-focused. A right relationship with God is foundational for our lives.  If you’re looking for a church that is by no means perfect, but is diligently trying to serve and enjoy God as he has commanded, then we invite you to get to know more about us through this website, and join us in the worship of our Redeemer!

Our Sunday Schedule:

Sunday School: 10:00 a.m.

Fellowship and refreshments: 10:35 a.m.

Morning Worship: 11:00 a.m.  (also livestreamed)

Evening Worship: 5:30 p.m. (also livestreamed)

Who we are

The church is not a building, first of all, but people! Ordinary people, your friends and neighbors make up the church. What makes these people special is fellowship — fellowship with the Lord and with each other.

On Sunday you’ll find these people worshiping together in Trinity Presbyterian Church. You will find them enjoying one another’s fellowship, and, on occasion, a potluck meal. Throughout the week you’ll find them seeking to serve God in their daily lives.

A whole life church: Trinity Presbyterian Church believes that the whole person is important. The whole person was created by God in his image. But we have all sinned against God, and need to be rescued and ruled by Jesus Christ. You will find this church committed to working out the principles of Christ’s deliverance in every area of life.

A whole family church: The whole family, individuals, believers and their children, are important to Christ and to the whole church.

A whole world church: The good news of Jesus Christ is having a great impact on the world. Trinity Presbyterian Church is committed to advancing his kingdom by its involvement in home and foreign missions.

The whole Word of God: The Apostle Paul told the elders of the church in Ephesus: “. . . I did not shrink from declaring to you anything that was profitable, and teaching you in public and from house to house, testifying both to Jews and to Greeks of repentance toward God and of faith in our Lord Jesus Christ. . . . I did not shrink from declaring to you the whole counsel of God.” Acts 20:20,27 (ESV) Trinity Presbyterian Church seeks to proclaim that whole Word of God.

“Trinity” in our name reflects our belief that we were created by the triune God, Father, Son, and Holy Spirit. We have been redeemed by the triune God, and we exist to glorify and enjoy him forever. “Presbyterian” refers to the rule by elders, or presbyters, the pattern we see at work in the church as it grew in the time of the Apostles. Jesus is the Lord and King of the church. Elders, chosen by the members, administer the work of the church and exercise authority in his name. The “church” is the people God has gathered to worship and serve him. Trinity Presbyterian Church is a congregation in the Orthodox Presbyterian Church.

We believe

We believe the Bible above everything else.

Our secondary standards are the  Westminster Confession of Faith, the Larger Catechism and Shorter Catechism.

The Bible is more than a collection of moral teachings or a handbook on theology. It is the history of the unfolding and establishment of God’s kingdom. Thus our teaching and preaching show how the Bible, from beginning to end, points us to Jesus Christ, who inaugurated the kingdom of God by his death and resurrection in our place. By nature we are dead in sin. But the triune God, Father, Son, and Holy Spirit, has loved us and has drawn us to himself. We hold to the historic Reformed faith. We believe in:

  • Scripture Alone: We believe that the Bible is the inerrant Word of the living and true God, the only infallible rule of faith and practice. The Bible is God’s complete, final, and sufficient revelation to us. (2 Timothy 3:16)
  • Faith Alone: We believe that the only way sinners can draw near to a holy God is to have their sins pardoned and receive the imputed righteousness of Jesus Christ. Not even the best of our works can merit this. Justification is by faith alone. (Romans 3:28)
  • Grace Alone: We believe in the sovereignty of God in salvation and all things.  “For by grace you have been saved through faith. And this is not your own doing; it is the gift of God, not a result of works, so that no one may boast. For we are his workmanship, created in Christ Jesus for good works, which God prepared beforehand, that we should walk in them.” Ephesians 2:8-10 (ESV)
  • Christ Alone: We believe that the Bible, from Genesis to Revelation, is about Jesus Christ. He is our only hope of salvation. Therefore we preach Christ and not moralism, legalism, or politics. Only when we focus on Christ and trust in him can we walk worthy of the calling with which we have been called. (Luke 24:27)
  • The Glory of God Alone: Our goal and the purpose of all things is to glorify God. Everything we do is for the sake of praising God. This is why our worship is God centered. (Psalm 19)
